Family and General Dentistry

It is the mission of this practice to provide our patients with the highest level of quality care, and to ensure that it is delivered safely and professionally, in a kind, gentle manner.

We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.

Our practice is open Monday through Thursday. Patients are seen by appointment only.

Office Hours:

Monday and Tuesdays -8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Wednesday and Thursdays- 7:00 am until 4:00 pm.
We close for lunch daily from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.

We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day. Please call (404-315-8499) with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

Our office does not schedule several patients at the same time. Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled appointment time. As a courtesy our office attempts to call in advance to remind you of your reserved appointment. Please confirm your appointment time with our office. If you should ever have a change in your schedule affecting your dental appointment, we request that you notify our office at least two days in advance. Our office reserves the right to charge for broken appointments and cancellations made with less than forty-eight hours notice. Our fee is $35.00, and is subject to change with the length and type of appointment scheduled.

For your convenience we accept Cash, Check, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. A fee of $35.00 will be charged for all returned checks. Our attempt is to deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 404-315-8499. Many times, a simple telephone call can clear up any questions concerning your account.

As a courtesy to our patients, we will file your insurance claims on your behalf. You will however, be responsible for immediate payment of any deductible amount and any portion of the assigned amount not paid by your insurance. If an additional sum is due after insurance payment, payment is due within 30 days. Our practice does not contract with any insurance company, and therefore we can not guarantee the estimated patient balance. The patient is responsible for the entire balance regardless of the amount of the insurance benefit. Dental insurance plans vary widely.

Your dental plan is a form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect the carrier (insurance company) to reimburse you for a portion of our fee. That portion is determined by the contract between your employer and the insurance company. The higher the premium paid by your employer, the more generous the reimbursement.

Although we are not a party to the contractual arrangement with your insurance company, we do want to help you receive the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. As a convenience to you we will help you process your insurance claims in order for you to receive this maximum benefit. We will also gladly provide dental x-rays and a written diagnostic report should your insurance company have any questions about the services provided.

Our office will be happy to submit a pre-certification to your insurance company. This estimate will list the procedures recommended. Your insurance company will then list the amount that will be paid for the procedures. The estimate of benefits indicated on a pre-certification is subject to the continuing eligibility, terms, conditions and limitations of the subscriber’s dental coverage in force at the time the services are rendered. A pre-estimate is NOT a guarantee of payment but an estimate of the benefits available for the proposed services to be rendered.

We always provide you with the best care possible, without regard to the limitation imposed by your insurance company.

Infection Control

Infection controls and universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control — you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. You should feel free to discuss this topic with us and receive a straight forward answer.

Our office follows procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These measures include:

* Weekly sterilization monitoring service
* Disinfectant hand soap
* Gloves and face masks
* Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
* Sterilization of all equipment before every use
* Disposable materials

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental handpieces. We use an autoclave, a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure. Our autoclave is tested weekly using a biological spore strip to ensure the autoclave is working properly.

The best defense against disease is information. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make wise decisions about your health care. The more you know about our daily procedures and policies, the more comfortable you will feel.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 48 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing our practice for your dental care.
